Keep the Cake
Trebor takes one step toward Yesenia and stops. He decides that walking up to her with a cake in his hand sounds super creepy. Also, she is enjoying the company of two older boys. And who is he kidding? She is neither his type nor in his league. That’s fine, he continues to walk home with the cake weighing on him with every passing moment.
Trebor makes it home and strolls into his house and up the stairs.
His mother walks out of her bedroom and says, “Hello dear. Before you get too comfortable, can you go to the store and get--” She sees what Trebor is holding and says, “a cake. Now, where did you get that?”
“I won it at school in a raffle or something.”
“Well, it’s perfect. How was your day?”
“As you can see,” says Trebor, “it was a piece of cake.”
The End.
