Keep Walking Home

Trebor starts to walk toward Yesenia and pauses. Wishing her a happy birthday might seem creepy considering that he barely even knows her.  Also, she is enjoying the company of two older boys who might not be too keen on dividing their attention with her three ways. And who is he kidding? She is neither his type nor in his league. The closer he is to home, the more convinced he is of his decision.

Trebor arrives home and strolls through the door.

His mother walks out of her bedroom and says, “Hello dear. Before you get too comfortable, can you go to the store and get a cake for dessert tonight?”

“Of course you want me to go get a cake.”

“I don’t care about the flavor,” she says as she hands him ten dollars. “Now hurry before your father gets home.”

The End.
