Forget About It and Go Home
Trebor steps out of the school and immediately regrets not claiming his prize. He can’t go back in now, though. He’d have to explain to the security guard why he’s trying to get back in and he doesn’t want to deal with the hassle. He walks toward the bus with hundreds of other students like adolescent zombies.
Still, he can’t shake his curiosity. What was it that he would have gotten? Was it a delicious baked good? Maybe it was chocolate milk and come to think of it, Trebor feels a bit thirsty. What if he just passed up a gift certificate to Buffalo Wild Wings or something?
A large group of students has already congregated at the CTA bus stop. He’ll never make it on the next bus. Waiting causes Trebor to become impatient. I need to know, he thinks. What did I miss out on?
Should Trebor go back and seize the day? Or just wait and catch the next bus home? Help him decide.
