Walk Home and Avoid Being Kidnapped
I don’t believe in Pennywise and I’m way too paranoid, Trebor thinks. But this is the way people think in the movies too. They always believe that these things are impossible and then they happen. We watch the movies and shake our heads with judgment. If this is movie, are people in the audience screaming at Trebor “Don’t go with him” because they know something that he doesn’t? Is it worth the risk? Nope. Trebor talks himself into walking home.
He sees the homeless man that lives near his school and speeds up to avoid crossing paths with him. He sees a little girl on a pink bike and envies her mode of transportation.
Walking home, though, is longer than he expected. It’s not longer than the estimated time, but he’s never appreciated the speed of the bus till this very moment. He looks back and sees no bus.
He finally makes it home, strolls into his house, and up the stairs.
His mother walks out of her bedroom and says, “Hello dear. Before you get too comfortable, can you go to the store and get a cake?”
“This is literally the worst day of my life.”
The End.
